So finally Daisuke has shown his ambitions. Slowly but sure, he’s becoming more and more ruthless as the Daisuke depicted in 2007 version. Business has been complicated too with the financial restructuring about to happen and Hanshin Bank as the 10th place in city bank becomes an ideal prey for the top-ranked banks.
Meanwhile, Teppei who has gotten the approval from Ministry of International Trade and Industry with the help of his father-in-law, is struggling to find the money to fund his big construction project. Daisuke and Teppei’s relationship has gone more intense in this episode.
The preparation for Ginpei’s wedding is almost set, as Ginpei spends more time with Makiko. However it seems Ginpei’s and Makiko’s expectations are quite different? Their relationship will surely be an interesting issue to watch.
Next in line after Ginpei’s wedding would be Tsugiko’s, but we get a new character appearing this episode. Ichinose Yoshihiko, the son of Hanshin Special Steel factory manager, who will work with Teppei to build his dream blast furnace. The characters relationships are getting more and more complicated!

This week has been a very struggling week, the post concert depression hits really hard 😭😭😭 Honestly, subbing this drama has been quite an escape for me, so that I don’t think about HOME all the time. It helps, but honestly it’s creating another depression, WHY THE DIALOGS ARE SO LONG AND SO MANY VOCABS I DON’T UNDERSTAND AND WHEN I DO IT’S SO HARD TO FORM THE SENTENCE WITH THE CORRECT MEANING! Damn nihongo and their weird structure LOL. No, just kidding, I love the language, that’s why I’m learning LOL. 😘
Anyway this episode has soooooo little Ginpei! I mean, the overall story is very interesting and keeping me at the edge of my seat, but I need my Ginpei dose 😢 Well, although he gets little screen time this episode, but damn those scenes are impactful ones!
I love how he cares a lot about his mother, his expression turns very soft and caring when it comes to Yasuko. Uwwwuuuu Yasuko, you should be happy you gave birth to fine sons like Teppei and Ginpei, but of course, I can’t imagine being Yasuko too. It’s soo sorrowful… and the fact that there’s a scene with Yasuko and his brother also adds on the misery… thinking how she was once noble and the life she led when her father was around was so much better… 💔💔💔
The way Ginpei looks at his mother is so soft, I can’t wait to see how much he would do for her… I didn’t remember anything Ginpei did for Yasuko in 2007 version but here they showed so much bond between them both, so I’m hoping there would be an important event about it! (dunno though LOL)
I’m like, shoot Gaya don’t stroke your thumb on her!!! LOL you’re now Manpyo Ginpei and not Fujigaya Taisuke, for God’s sake!!! I guess he just did it naturally LOL.
Breaks my heart to see how Yasuko weep so painfully 😭
By the way… a new guy is coming here! Wow Yoshihiko here is looking so fine! Such an educated young man with hopes glittering in his eyes! I can see how Tsugiko is instantly mesmerised by him… 🥰 But then Miyata – No I mean Hosokawa – will come into the picture, oops 🤫
And actually I’m curious. What’s the deal with this Hayami guy, Daisuke’s secretary? Why is he looking at Daisuke so disapprovingly like that? Is he starting to feel negative towards Daisuke? Will this lead to anything? I seriously can’t guess but I’m excited to find out!
And yet another one, here we go, a service shot from the producer to all the women out there… a close up of Fujigaya Taisuke’s lips 🙈🙈🙈 Seriously what’s with them!! They’ve been doing this since last episode!!!
Makiko is so sweet and pure, and Ginpei is as cold as ice…
I don’t understand this look. Why he looks at her like he’s startled or something? Because of her beauty? Because it reminds him of something else? I totally don’t get it but I’m curious!!! It looks to me like it probably reminds him to his mother or something? Dunno though I’m just guessing LOL. But damn Riho is sure pretty 😍😍😍
And the scene at the lodge… I don’t know, to me, this scene says so many things. Especially the sudden change in Ginpei’s expression… At first it looks to me he was kind of moved by Makiko… he looks soft, and it looks like he’s longing for an affection too…
Ginpei… this lady is sincere towards you… just accept her feeling and soften your heart, would you? 🥺🥺🥺
Here! The change of expression!! Why??? Because Makiko took pity on him?? Why??? She’s sincere! Arrgghhh I don’t understand you, Ginpei!!!
See how sincere she is… 😢 Makiko, you have a pretty soul… She is beautiful inside out!!!
But my ultimate favorite scene in this episode… is the last scene where Teppei confronted Daisuke. I was like GO TEPPEI GO, TELL HIM! TELL HER!!! SAY IT TO THEIR FACE!!! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 I was totally cheering for Teppei from the bottom of my heart hahaha!!! I even got excited when translating the lines I felt like I want to ad so many exclamation marks LOOOOOOL

And now here comes the cold, level-headed, apathetic younger brother. What’s with you Ginpei!!! Your brother has been so heated up in cornering your father!!! Now is the time!!! Gaahhh these two are such a polar opposite, it gets into my nerve too! Hahaha how come he shows up nonchalantly like this???
Why do you give up before fighting, Ginpei!!! The least you can do is at least HELP YOUR BROTHER, FOR GOD’S SAKE!!! Hahaha watching this gets me heated up as well, Gosh let me put one more last screenshot of Teppei’s determined look.
