It’s finally ending 😭😭😭 Arrggghhh I’m so sad! There’s nothing more to look forward to every Tuesday 😭😭😭 I won’t be able to see Junnosuke anymore… or Nami… or Reiko… or Nakazawa… or Handa-san… or everyone in MIYAVI and Oashi and Rio and Horai family… 😢😢😢

(Well, at least there’s this Director’s cut starting 3/31 that I can look forward to for now!)

I admit this last episode didn’t really meet my expectations. Honestly I kind of expected a bit more. (Although they’ve been generous enough to give us 15 mins extended for the last episode! But still not enough!!! 😫)

!! BEWARE SPOILERS BELOW !!

I wonder if it’s because I’ve had too big of an expectation about this last episode. I mean… Hey look at those first 9 episodes!!! Not even one dialog is useless, not even one scene lacks effort!! Everything was packed, the characters, the plot, the conflicts, the rollercoaster, the munekyun, the emotions… it was perfect! So is it my fault for expecting the last episode to be EXTRAORDINARILY PERFECT???

Well, to give them any justice… when I watched it second and third time when I sub and QC, it did look MUCH better though LOL. I guess I was busy waiting for the scenes I expected to see when I watched real time that I forgot to simply enjoy the drama. I mean, I had stupid comments in my head the whole episode 😅 I was busy making tsukkomis inside my head instead of paying real attention to the episode 😅 So now that I know what to and not to expect, I can enjoy it fully. And appreciate the scenes and their effort even more.

One thing that I noticed, they tried to make us feel as much nostalgic as they can. The similarities between the scenes and dialog in this episode with the previous episodes are too obvious. I kind of overlooked this part yesterday, but I managed to notice it today! And you know what, I actually love that! It makes me feel more sentimental and emotional towards the whole drama! JUNNOSUKE ARRGGGHHH 😭😭😭

But before that!!!

So thankful they still let Shirojun appear even at the last episode! So we can make a proper goodbye to him. Bye Shiro Jun… 😢

I didn’t screencapped anything yet because I’m afraid I won’t finish the sub today if I take time idling and screencapping 🙈 It’s one hour long episode and there are more lines than usual and I don’t want to pull up an all nighter! So I’m doing my screencaps now while waiting for the encoding to finish www.

Came across this scene. OMG this is probably ONE OF MY MOST FAVE SCENES IN THE WHOLE DRAMA. Junnosuke and Nakazawa on a ramen place!! OMG how can this brotherhood be so lovely??? How is men friendship so glittery??? 😭 Thank you Nakazawa, you rock, thank you for speaking right into Junnosuke’s scared mind!!! And it still amuses me how they can move in sync www. It also intrigued me that they never called each other’s names. It’s only been like “ano” or “ne” or unnamed stuff like that. Tsk. That’s too bad.

NAKAZAWA-SANNNN arrrghhh!!! Tell me why, WHY, they only let these two guys talk with each other approaching the end of the story??? JUST WHY??? Why don’t they let them interact earlier, so we’ll have more and more wonderful scene like thisss!!! 🤯🤯🤯

Okay and I came across another scene LOL I’ll never get to the scenes I want to screencap www. I ROOT FOR THESE TWO!! OMG they’re so cute!! Just be a couple already!!! Well I haven’t watched Tsun Koi last episode so can’t say anything yet, but I’m sure I will love it! 😍😍😍

This is one of the scenes with a dialog that repeats what Reiko said in episode 1. Because I remembered translating something like this www. And I also can’t help getting reminded of Grand Maison Tokyo when anyone says “xxx has the power to do xxx” I know I’m helpless 🙈

Shoot now we have Rio’s last scene, and the scene where Tama cranked up too. I love this scene so much too! Yappari in the end, Rio is the one who understands Junnosuke the most 😢😢😢 I somehow feel it’s really turning into the cliche romcom where the main characters are the most clueless ones that they need other people to keep telling them and reminding them about themselves (well, I do know the drama is going very cliche though – where have I been the last 9 episodes!?🙈)

I REALLY LOVE IT WHEN SHE SAYS THIS LINE. Sou dayo, baka. I can flail so much about how I love Rio but there’s this thing I want to talk about.

How can you not love this woman??? Just how??? Because I’m head over heels with her 😭😭😭 I screamed when I hear her say this. You’re so right, Rio, you’re so right!! Say that to Jun’s face he needs to hear it!!! 🔥

I don’t know but I love this scene so much 🥺 For me, the way she said his full name is just so meaningful… it contains all the unsaid emotions 🥺🥺🥺 And I still get the shivers when I hear his full name. Horai Junnosuke. OH WOW. 🤩🤩🤩 Then Rio cranked up here. Bye bye Rio, otsukaresama… 🥺 Please continue being Junnosuke’s childhood friend 🥺

And they’re starting this whole similarities with the first episode… and I begin to get emotional too 🥺

An intermezzo… some of my stupid comments yesterday 🙈

1. Why no one commented on how dasai his running here 🙈 Did everyone already forget because he showed an excellent running form in episode 3? 🙈🙈🙈

2. He walked like a penguin www so cute

The best quote from Nami. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU NAMI!!!

Even from the legs and the way he walks I know who this is. Noooo don’t go to MIYAVI don’t!!! What are you doing!!! 😱 This scene is so embarrassing I wonder how they came up with such a scene. I mean OMG, it’s an office you know? The whole employees are there watching them, you know??? Why don’t they get a room or something 😱 It’s so embarrassing I couldn’t really watch it yesterday 🙈

So embarrassing damn damn damn damn damn. Isn’t it awkward being Nami’s colleague too? 😅 But I still died from too much heart beating nevertheless 🙈🙈🙈 I mean… hearing him say “I love you” with such a straightforward and thrusting eyes?? This scene is like GYUUUUNNNNN 💘💘💘

We finally reach the one that I’ve been meaning to say since the very start www. The similarities with the previous episodes. BTW Ken-chan is the MVP for the whole drama – my opinion LOL.

THE END!! Finished!!!

What makes me really glad is they end this with smiles. That’s all that matters. That “See you again someday” is giving false hopes though hahaha!!! Anyway thank you for keeping up with me these 3 months and I hope you enjoy this drama as much as I enjoy subbing it!!! 👋🏻🥰
