Here’s DK Furoba episode 5!
The lines are getting fewer and fewer, it’s actually quite fun subbing this drama lately hahaha. At least I wasn’t stressed out like when I subbed the first 2 episodes LOL.
Translation notes:
- Noriben: nori bento (seaweed bento) the word comes from nori and bento mashed together. It’s the most basic bento, consisting of just 3 or 4 ingredients: rice, nori seaweed, soy sauce, and often dried bonito flakes.
- Yurei, Yokai, Obake: They’re all translated to English as ghost (except, yokai is more like goblin). The beginning of the episode, they’re referring to ghost as in spirits of the deceased (yurei), but at 15:40, Ume said Horie is a kind of ghost as in supernatural creatures in Japanese folklore (obake). Reference on Japanese ghosts here. Obake explanations here.
- Nurarihyon: A type of supernatural creatures in Japanese folklore, usually depicted as an old man with a gourd-shaped head and wearing a robe. Reference here.

This episode is so absurd!!! Like the previous aren’t, LOL, but seriously, this episode got me LOLing so many times!!!
Especially their expressions www that snob feeling!

Shin and Ume are popular among the girls!! Of course, they’re idols after all 🙈🙈🙈
Btw, when I subbed this, I kind of like. Ouch. I feel stabbed www. Are they making fun of Janiwota here?? With the bino and everything 🙈 Or maybe I’m just too sensitive LOL.

Ume has always been a victim, and again, he’s a victim today LOL poor Ume 😂

And this Horie guy is seriously driving me crazy this episode www He keeps mixing English and Japanese and like, it makes no sense if I translate it to English, especially when he repeated the words that mean the same in both languages 😅 but anyway, they didn’t make this drama to be translated, so… can’t say anything lol.

Combine bullied Ume and scared Shin, and you get the cutest combination 😍😍😍 These two are such eye candies here LOL

Enjoy!!!
